While here at MaraBette & Co, you'll find many delicious teas and lovely tea experiences, our purpose is to pour out the gift of love & hospitality to each and every person we serve. We've created an a online experience that we hope conveys these aspects, as well as in person activities; from markets to tea parties where you receive a tangible expression of the love & hospitality we believe everyone deserves to experience. As a tea artist, creating beautiful and unique tea blends, we also believe in the art of tea gathering, & the beauty expressed to each individual, but it's the gift of hospitality (serving in love) that allows us to lovingly and with much grace extend to others a seat at our tea table. You're invited to come on in, surround yourself with the pleasantries of tea, enjoy the comforts of love, while we offer you the gift of hospitality. You are always welcome to our table.
Our Story
MaraBette Teas was established in 2017 with a vision to help people discover the pleasures, and joy of drinking loose leaf teas. From the novice to the advanced tea drinker, we believe everyone should be able to experience tea the MaraBette way! What began as a vision to encourage people in the art of hospitality, homemaking, & opening their homes to others, expanded into blending & selling teas as a way to enable people to share in the gift of hospitality with others, & give them confidence in connecting with other people. As each year grows, we expand our desire to see tea being used as an avenue to connect & build relationships, as well as give people an opportunity to practice these tools within their own lives. What better way to discover the gift of love, tea, & hospitality than thru sharing a cup of tea.

At MaraBette Teas, our mission is to provide tea as an experience; a way of connecting with others and bringing people together. We believe tea is more than just a drink, but rather intended to be shared and enjoyed with others. All of our teas are created with the concept of hospitality in mind. Generating, and perhaps mimicking the emotions and feelings one may experience when surrounded by the gift and timeless art of true hospitality. With each and every blend, the ideas of family, friends, gatherings, home, & even special pleasant memories from our childhood are communicated. No two blends alike, each blend small batch created, & tested, & as different and unique as the name it reflects. Our mission, helps create memories & laughter thru tea, while delivering a tea experience that's as unique & special as the person holding the cup.

Marla Lacey, female financial banker turned tea entrepreneur! An avid lover of tea, tea houses, hosting events, and making people feel welcome, she turned her passion into a thriving, ever growing, and changing business. Bringing into the business numerous years of catering tea parties, planning events, and visiting tea rooms across America, she is constantly using skills that offer people a way to build relationships through a cup of tea!
A strong leader, with a straightforward no nonsense approach, Marla wants to take the concepts of MaraBette & Co to regions far and wide, not to mention the artisan loose leaf tea blends created by her company. Marla believes tea can bridge gaps and connect across ethnic lines, all the while bringing a smile to your face!
